Apple Cinamon Spongey Deliciousness

This picture was taken with my webcam, so no it doesn't look all that apetizing but holy lord it was delicious. The batter was also the best batter I've ever tasted so if you're a battereating kind of person, this is your dream come true.

So I actually wanted to make Petits Chauxesess but it was twelve am so I decided to make something a little quicker. I love apple slices with a little honey and cinnamon on top, so why not put that into a cake?

What I did was follow a standard recipe for a spongecake (choose one which promises alot of moisture, I followed this one by swedens Delia Smith). Then, since I'm not a sugery person, I replaced half a dl of sugar (1 cup?) with a squirt of honey and added around 5 teaspoons (I don't really remember, taste it and see) of cinnamon in the first stage of adding ingredients. I also added 10 more grams of butter to the recipe because I wanted it to be extra mushy and moist and all of those good things.
When I was all done whisking stuff I cut 2 apples into slices. Make it 3 if you want lots, powdered them with a bit of flour and sprinkled abit sugar to avoid them from sinking in the batter. I then just pushed the apples down into the batter after I've poured it into my lovely bunt-shape. The last step is to put it into the oven, leave it for 20 mins when it's supposed to bake for 25-30, go "Oh, this is done, but it's been in 5 minutes short..." and not realize it's done because it has a giant hole in the middle because it's a bundt and not a regual cake, leave it for 5 more mins and slightly overbake it. But it was still good.

Step 1; Turn oven to 175', fan. Then whisk 3 eggs, 2 dl of sugar, 1 teaspoon maybe of honey, 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar and around 5 teaspoons of cinnamon.
Step 2; Melt 60 grams of butter so that it's just melted, not boiling or anything, and mix in 1 dl of milk. Let this cool (!!!) and then whisk it into the batter. The cooling is to avoid the heat taking away all the fluff from the sugareggmix.
Step 3; Mix 4 dl of flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of salt. Then sift this into the batter as you carefully fold it.
Step 4; Taste to make sure you have enough cinnamon. If not add more. If you have too much, that's too bad. Maybe take some scoops of batter out and add more milk and flour?
Step 5; Smear butter in the pan you're gonna use and sprinkle it with flour. Then pour the batter in.
Step 6; Peal and slice 2-3 apples, sprinkle them with some flour and some sugar if you want more sweetness, and then gently push them down into the batter. Leave some on top so you have them at different levels in the cake.
Step 7; Bake it for 20-30 minutes on the middle shelf, take it out and enjoy. Just don't burn yourself.
